THERE ARE HEALTH BENEFITS TO DRINKING WATER IN THE MORNING

Let’s start off by going back to middle school science class and remind everyone that your body is made up of about 70% water.  That sounds like a lot right?  Our body uses it for so many things on a daily basis and it needs to be replenished daily.  Drinking water first thing in the morning when you wake up helps your body to clean out any toxins from the prior day and night letting you start your day fresh and healthy.  If you drink water on an empty stomach it can also help to boost your metabolism which will in turn assist with weight loss.

We all know about the benefits of drinking water however it’s so easy to grab that soda or cup of coffee instead.  Well think about how much better you might look just by switching out a couple of those drinks for some water.  By not allowing your body to become dehydrated your skin and complexion will glow more.  You hair may even start to grow stronger.  Would you like a stronger immune system?  Drinking water on an empty stomach and flushing those toxins can help with that also.

Drinking water can also help your heart.  There was a study that showed people that drank at least 5 glasses of water a day were 41% less likely to have a heart attack than people who drank only 2 glasses or less.  It’s a challenge sometimes but worth the benefits!
