Michael Kors emphasizes That Nothing is one dimensional

Michael Kors concluded New York Fashion Week with a bang as the iconic American luxury house unveiled its Spring/Summer 2025 collection at The Shed, a cultural centerpiece in Hudson Yards, with a star-studded runway and front row.  Drawing inspiration from Netflix's Ripley, a modern adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s classic tale The Talented Mr. Ripley, the collection embodied the Netflix series' allure and the breathtaking elegance of Italian scenery, translating the show’s sophistication into a cohesive collection.

The collection’s color palette was anchored in rich, neutral tones, including creams, taupes, blacks, whites, and browns, with occasional purple hues and olive green. Kors emphasizes that nothing is one-dimensional, and every piece has texture or dimension, as seen in the multiple dresses within the collection. Lace and floral prints and embellishments were also powerful throughout the ensembles.

Accessories, a signature of the Michael Kors brand, enhanced the opulence of the collection. Key accessories featured dark oval sunglasses and statement belts, which were cinched at the waist on numerous looks throughout the collection.
