Ralf Lauren, Quintessential American Entrée
For Ralph Lauren, the Hamptons is “my refuge, as the designer put it in his show notes. He’s long considered the Long Island destination a home away from home, saying, “It’s a natural world of endless blue skies, the ocean, green fields, and white fences, rusticity and elegance with a quality of light that drew artists here decades ago.”
So, for his spring 2025 show, he brought the fashion crowd out east. Namely, to Bridgehampton, where the Khalily Stables were transformed into a runway. With a front row that included Kacey Musgraves, Tom Hiddleston, and First Lady Jill Biden looking on, the designer channeled that coastal inspiration into a collection that included crisp menswear-style tailoring, Americana classics like his iconic flag sweater and a seaside-inspired blue and white palette. Given the setting, there were also equestrian touches and Great Gatsby-esque eveningwear to be had.
