Durango Fashion Week celebrates innovation sustainability and global vision

Durango Fashion Week celebrated its fifth edition with a stunning fusion of fashion, culture, and international vision. Led by Grecia Reyes Santander and Jack Ramos, Hacienda Mayor transformed into a global runway, bringing together established and emerging designers who highlighted creativity, sustainability, and the rising influence of Latin American fashion.

The week opened with an exquisite haute couture show by Giannina Azar, followed by standout collections from Susana Acosta, Mireya Marrufo, Jimena Gutierrez, Yonatzin Quintero, Coni y Consuelo Arte Sano, Zafiro de la Cruz, and Beatriz Barreau. The night concluded with the sophisticated relaunch of GERCI by Yohanna Gursey, presenting more than 25 looks celebrating conscious luxury and femininity.

Innovation continued throughout the following shows with emphasis on sustainability and fresh design perspectives. The Green Fashion Project took the spotlight promoting ethical fashion, accompanied by notable presentations from José Acosta, Mayra Salgado (MSP), Diego Armando Calderón, Melanie Hernández, Sahori Ramírez, Paul Chable, Elvyra Raymundo, Loretta, and a memorable menswear finale by Marco Vargas Tuxedo.

The International Showroom became a dynamic hub for connection—uniting brands, institutions, and creatives under one platform for collaboration, commercial opportunities, and global exposure. Strategic alliances with New York Fashion Week x FDLA, Andes Fashion Week, Aruba Fashion Week, Washington DC Fashion Week, CEDIM, and other institutions solidified Durango’s growing presence in the world of fashion.

Guests explored Durango’s cinematic landscapes with support from Turismo Durango, highlighting the region’s blend of culture, history, and film legacy. With registrations now open for its upcoming edition, Durango Fashion Week continues its mission to elevate design through creativity, sustainability, and unity. A celebration that reaffirms: Durango is fashion international, visionary, and ready for the world.
