2020 WEDDING DRESS TRENDS

If you’re getting married in 2020 before you go dress shopping you might want to be aware of some of the upcoming trends you’ll see in the boutiques this spring.  Some of the standard designs will be getting small changes to keep up with all the recent trends.

We expect to see very deep, plunging necklines this year.  Cleavage will be all out this season but can be covered with illusion fabric to be more subtle.  The open back dresses will still be hugely in style this spring.  Along with these, we will see off the shoulder dresses or more of a cap sleeve.

Lace and tulle will be taking over as the hottest fabric of the year.  You will see lace in a different way than ever before.  The dresses will have what is being called a ‘Coachella’ or Boho feel with long, flowing sleeves.  Other dresses will be made all of tulle for those brides that still want to have a princess style dress.

You may also notice a difference in dress lengths when shopping this year.  Some tea length dresses and others with the popular hi-low hem line were shown on the runway.  If you are looking for a unique yet practical dress this idea might be perfect for you.  Many of these designs are convertible with a short dress being the ‘hi’ dress, and the ‘low’ being a detachable train.  The hi-low could be the perfect solution to not needing a second dress to dance away on your special day.
