WEDDING TRENDS FOR 2020

There are always new trends each year and 2017 is no different.  The experts have put out what they expect to be the biggest trends in the coming year and I’m here to share some of the best with you.  If you are planning your big day you may want to incorporate some of these into your plans.  They are saying the colors this coming year will be more neutral.  From charcoal to bluish grey or grey/brown even.  Michelle Cousins of Michelle Leo Events in Utah says, “The color palette is perfect for the bride who wants to achieve a classic sophisticated feel.”

If you want to have a wedding people will talk about, pick a memorable location.  Someplace unusual, maybe a mountain top or an aquarium for example.  Also decorate with unique flowers like peonies, dahlias or other soft petal flowers.  You can also use flowers loosely on the tables in place of centerpieces.  That’s another trend that’s becoming hot according to florists.

Tall, hand painted, and jeweled wedding cakes are also back in fashion.  People are going away from wedding cupcakes and desert tables.  Honestly who doesn’t love a gorgeous wedding cake that is the center of attention at the reception, next to the bride and groom of course.  While we’re talking receptions how about a new spin on a combination guest book and photo booth together?  Companies are now providing specialized books to attach the pictures taken.  Then the guests can write a message to the happy couple.  Take your pick of trends or pick them all, just remember to enjoy your special day!
