Waves never die – and it seems the constant evolving of Aston Martin doesn’t either.
Challenging the status quo, Aston Martin is taking a turn away from the iconic cars that the luxury world-wide brand is famous for and taking a dive in the waters.
Last week at Yachts Miami Beach, home to the largest mega-yacht collection in the world, Aston Martin highlighted the show with a special unveiling that was the first debut in the U.S.
Intrested in being introduced to the prototype of the Aston Martin AM37 powerboat? Well, this 37-foot beauty priced from $1.6 million to $2.1 million can be seen at this year’s event in Mid-Beach along Collins Avenue, across from the Eden Roc Hotel.
CEO of Quintessence Yachts, Mariella Mengozzi, said “As the exclusive builders of the Aston Martin powerboats, Quintessence Yachts translate design into functionality and technology to enhance the customer experience.”
The decision to enter the nautical world was the result of two years of research and development and combines the best in innovative technology and bespoke craftsmanship. Yet, if it’s not the story behind this beauty that’s quite amazing, it’s the features that are sure to not disappoint.
Now let’s continue, shall we?
Featuring a sliding deck, one can cover and uncover the cockpit with the touch of a button, a wraparound windscreen is comprised of one piece of sculpted glass, and there’s a carbon fiber dashboard emitting the feel of Aston Martin’s most sophisticated sports cars.
Aston Martin’s EVP & Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, commented “AM37 is a pure translation of the Aston Martin DNA into an entirely new maritime concept. The powerboat reflects our values in terms of power, beauty and soul. The most important attribute for Aston Martin is the design language and proportion, we have transferred this DNA into AM37. It was important to us when considering this project to make sure that the boat design was as beautiful and timeless as our cars, the AM37 is a striking boat with fantastic proportion and elegance.”
