Kim Kardashian launches Skims collection with Fendi

Kim Kardashian took to instagram to confirm that the Fendi x Skims capsule collection is happening.

The collection includes shape-wear, lingerie, swimwear as well as outerwear in a mix of both solid and logo heavy prints in tones of black, military green, black and fuchsia, and a gradient of flesh tones.
The designs were imagined by Kim Kardashian alongside artistic director of haute couture, ready-to-wear and fur collections for women at Fendi, Kim Jones. The launch will be accompanied by a campaign shot by Steven Meisel starring Kim Kardashian, alongside models Precious Lee, Tianna St. Louis, Jessie Li and Grace Valentine.

In April, Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand reached a $1.6 billion valuation after raising $154 million in its latest funding round, led by venture firm Thrive Capital. Kim Kardashian remains Skims’ biggest shareholder, alongside existing investors, Imaginary Ventures and Alliance Consumer Growth.
The Fendi x Skims collaboration was first leaked on Instagram earlier this month. Meanwhile,  rumours began when Kim Kardashian visited the company’s headquarters in Rome. The collection will finally launch on Nov. 9 on a dedicated e-commerce site, fendiskims.com

“The innovation in fabrics and fit typical to Skims paired with the luxury and quality of Fendi may feel unexpected to some people, but the similarities between our creative vision and goals are so closely aligned,” Kim Kardashian said in a press release. “It’s that tension that excites me.”
Kim Kardashian first launched Skims in September 2019, offering an inclusive solution to shapewear and underwear, in sizes XXS- 5X and in nine tonal colourways. Since then, in the U.S., the brand has seen much success and regularly sales out of styles due to high consumer demand.
