Si pensabas que “All About That Bass” fue un sencillo bueno. La cantautora, Meghan Trainor muestra aun más su versatilidad con el lanzamiento de su más reciente canción “No”. El primer sencillo de su segundo álbum “Thank You”. Su primer proyecto después de recibir el premio como Mejor Nuevo Artista en los Grammys de esta año, donde el discurso de aceptación emocional de Trainor se convirtió en el momento más sincero de la noche. Estaba tan sorprendida por su victoria que ni siquiera creía que lo lograría al escenario para recibir el premio.
La cantante americana tenía mucha confianza en su sencillo del año pasado “All About That Base”, pero ahora la solista de 22 años, nos muestra un lado totalmente diferente, inspirado los años 90 y el genero americano R&B. Trainor dice, que le gusta el hecho de que las mujeres pueden tener su propio concepto de su nuevo sencillo. Pero todo no fue un camino fácil, después de una respuesta decepcionante por parte de su disquera Red Label, L. A Reid uno de los ejecutivos discográficos mas respetados, pensó que Meghan necesitaba más tiempo para encontrar el próximo hit. Sin embargo, 24 horas más tarde Trainor envió a Reid su sencillo y en sus lírica le dice “Tienes que dejarlo ir”, ¿pero de quien estaba hablando?
Trainor dice que, “Tienes que dejarlo ir” empezó con porque ella le quería expresar a Reid que tenía que dejar ir la idea de que iba a escribir un “All About That Bass 2.0 “. Pero al final el también productor acepto y le gusto la canción, además afirmó que le gusto más que el primer disco y espera que la gente le gusta de igual manera. Se espera que su disco “Thank You” salga al mercado 13 de mayo de este año.

If you thought “All About That Bass” was catchy you may be in for a treat. Singer-songwriter, Meghan Trainor shows off her versatility with the release of her latest song “No”. The first single on her 2nd album “Thank You”; Trainor’s first release since winning Best New Artist at the 2016 Grammys Awards. Trainor’s emotional acceptance speech was the night’s most sincere moment. She was so taken aback by the win she didn’t even think she’d make it to the stage to accept the trophy. Trainor had plenty of confidence on her 1st single last year “All about that bass” but now the 22 year old shows a whole different side with her 90’s inspired R&B girl anthem “No”. She says, she enjoys the fact that ladies can have their own concept of her new single.
But the path to the next album wasn’t easy, after a disappointing reply from her Record label, L.A Reid thought Meghan needed more time to find the next big single. However, 24 hours later Trainor sent her single out to Reid and in her lyrics she says “You need to let it go” but whom was she talking about?
Trainor says, “Me saying ‘You need to let it go’ started with me wanting to tell Reid that he needed to let go of the idea that I was going to write ‘All About That Bass 2.0. But in the end, he loved the song and claimed he likes it better than the first album and I hope people like it just as much.” Her album “Thank You” is expected to be released on May 13, 2016.
